Weather risk analysis
Software for advanced weather risk assessment and sequential weather risk analysis of offshore operations. It simulates a planning step by step against long-term metocean data, with user-defined limiting criteria per activity, dependencies between activities and vessel characteristics.
Delays propagate through the planning, so the knock-on effects on all following activities are included. A Monte Carlo approach gives the statistical distributions of waiting times and durations, such as P50 and P80, per start month. The software handles complex planning with many activities.
We developed such software for TenneT and 50Hertz, through Primo Marine.

Marine weather forecasting dashboard
Our in-house developed marine weather forecasting dashboard presents meteorological and oceanographic forecast data from multiple sources in one dashboard.
Wind, waves, currents and water levels for a site are shown together, and the forecasts from different sources can be compared at a glance, to support decisions during offshore operations.

User interfaces for wave modelling
Graphical user interfaces to set up, run and post-process wave models such as SWAN and SWASH. They guide the user through grids, bathymetry, boundary conditions and model settings, check the input, and produce standard figures and tables from the results.
This makes wave modelling faster and more consistent, and reduces the chance of errors in model set-up.

Metocean analytics and reporting
A tool for metocean analytics under normal and extreme conditions, from time series to report-ready tables and figures:
- Wind and wave roses, joint probability and exceedance tables, monthly and annual statistics
- Persistence and workability statistics
- Spectral analysis and partitioning of wind sea and swell
- Extreme value analysis with several distributions and methods, confidence intervals by bootstrapping, and IFORM environmental contours
- Automated generation of report figures and tables
Validation software for measurement campaigns
Software for the quality control and validation of metocean measurement campaigns. It compares measured waves, currents, water levels and other parameters with reference data through time series, scatter diagrams, statistical parameters and distributions.
For wave buoys and other wave instruments, a spectral component analysis based on the five Fourier coefficients shows the accuracy of the instrument as a function of frequency and energy, for pre- and post-validation of a campaign.
